Brown Sugar Design creates a unique array of lush, inspired, custom invitations and reception packages that are perfect for your upcoming wedding! Using the finest papers and tools available, our designers offer fresh solutions and innovative ideas to help create the perfect invitations and accessories for your wedding.
The owners and designers of Brown Sugar Design are Jonathan and Whitney Speir, a married couple from Kirkland, Washington. The two have over fourteen years experience in the design field, working in marketing, advertising, print and web for large and small companies in the industry. They share a love of a variety of design styles, including styles that are out of the box
and traditional. The two love to push creative boundaries in the competitive invitation and correspondence market. Jonathan and Whitney were married in October of 2003 and understand the pressures and excitement associated with planning a large event. They are happy to share in the planning of your special event and wish to make the process of choosing invitations, announcements and other printed materials as smooth as possible. They look forward to working with you for your special event.
Our designers will meet with you to determine what you are looking for. Since our invitations are custom made to fit your wishes, it is a vital first step to meet and discuss your ideas, wishes, and any samples, papers, ribbons, or accessories that may interest you. Feel free to bring along photos, papers, sketches...anything that inspires you.
A mock-up invitation is then created and a second consultation helps us determine the specifics; wording, quantity, and fees are then agreed upon. Once a design is approved, the team immediately begins production so that you receive your order in an efficient and timely manner.
All consultations are free. There is a $50 fee for each mock-up. Once a design is agreed upon, 50% of the final cost will be due up front, the other 50% upon delivery. Washington state sales tax will apply for all mock-ups and final orders.
All artwork remains the property of Brown Sugar Design. Brown Sugar Design retains the right to use artwork for professional use, trade shows, and advertising.
